Dynamic Engineering´s IndustryPack Compatible Designs work with all major buses:
PCIe, PCI, cPCI, PC104p, VME, VPX and more.
The IndustryPack compatible IP-CF design converts between the IP Module bus and the IDE bus used for FLASH memory modules and other PC Card compatible designs. IP-CF acts as an adapter, converter, carrier, or bridge between the IP bus and your PC Card hardware. IP-CompactFlash comes with an industrial temperature CompactFLASH card (see Ordering information below for available CompactFLASH card sizes).
IP-CompactFlash is compatible with 8 and 32 MHz IP bus interfaces. A speed select control bit optimizes the CompactFLASH state machines for either frequency. When used with Dynamic Engineering PCIe based carriers such as
PCIe3IP the internal pipeline on the carrier will work with the write through architecture [IP-CF] to provide the ability to write a block of data to the FLASH card and for your software to move on with other processing while the data is stored in the background.
The external IDE interface has fused power to support a transition module with a second device. Series resistors are used to dampen cable induced reflections when a second device is installed. The default is for the internal device to be the master. Most IP carriers use 50 pin headers to support ribbon cable.
HDRterm50 can be used to create a terminal block interface.
A local oscillator and a complete IP control interface are provided to allow for custom implementations.
The IP Module driver can be instantiated multiple times to control multiple cards by the same CPU. IP-CF when coupled with the Dynamic Driver "knows" what slot it is in and which carrier it is installed into. The slot and carrier information is required when using multiple cards in a PCI system with dynamic address assignment. A known system configuration can be combined with the slot and carrier information to deterministically access the right card
