Dynamic Engineering is a solid 29+ year old company. Our strengths include systems and embedded engineering. We believe our strong engineering focus leads to quality products, and excellent service. Dynamic Engineering designs utilize the appropriate technology for the requirements whether cutting edge or more mature. Dynamic Engineering features an integrated approach with manufacturing and engineering working in the same facility. Our commitment to manufacturing includes upgrading our facilities and equipment. We have a new SMT100, and are adding manufacturing space.

Our strategy of high quality engineering and manufacturing has been rewarded with an expanding group of clients. Some of our clients are well known names for example: Boeing, NASA, and Honeywell. Dynamic Engineering clients use our embedded hardware & software for a wide range of applications including: simulation, mission critical interfaces, command and control, communications, telemetry, and avionics.

Embedded Engineering

    The right individual is someone who wants to design, learn, set direction, and play on a winning team. This individual will be upbeat and good with clients. Under the "Musts" section are the SW focused skills. The "Desires" including FPGA design using VHDL, schematics, and understanding of high speed design will be helpful with your software design.

    Our projects range from custom VHDL/Driver modifications reusing existing HW to full custom designs. As you can see from our website we have quite a range of design work to do. In addition there are a number of "not for resale" designs that we have implemented, including fully integrated controllers for mechanical systems with pulsed lasers, and other challenging and fun designs.

    General SW expertise:
  • C/C++ fluent
  • Linux and VxWorks SMP fluent
  • Comfortable with either Intel or PPC architectures
  • Knowledgeable WRT standard Linux kernel driver models
  • Familiar with flat and Virtural Memory models
  • Familiar with cache implementations and coherency issues
  • Appropriate and efficient utilization of mutual exclusion
  • Familiar with DMA engines and associated issues
  • Some scripting experience (bash, perl, etc)
  • Javascript experience is a plus
  • CPU board bring-up experience

    Design/implement Linux/VxWorks drivers based upon I/O card HW manual which supports following requirements
  • SMP safe
  • Support both 32 and 64 bit platforms
  • Support both little and big endian platforms
  • Achieve near line-rate throughput
  • Generate associated documentation (driver manual and release notes)

    Design/implement applications which validate driver SW and I/O card HW
  • Also serves as an example of proper device configuration and I/O operation.

    Protocol experience
  • Ethernet and associate protocols knowledge is required
  • Ideal candidate familiar additional protocols (e.g. SDLC/HDLC, SpaceWire, Fibre channel, etc)

    Customer support experience
  • Includes ability to remotely debug customer issues

    Desired
  • Ability to read HW schematics
  • Some familiarity with RTL (VHDL or Verilog) not required, but desired

    We are growing and continue to need top quality people.
    There are a lot of opportunities to make a difference with Dynamic Engineering. Most designs involve FPGA´s. Under the "Musts" section are the HW focused skills including FPGA design using VHDL, schematic level design for Digital and Analog circuits, understanding of high speed design and layout. Your design work will need to be tested, typically using C/C++ and a driver for the HW. The software skillset is listed as a "Desire" as we do have other software capable designers in place and can potentially take a team approach to the test software etc. However a candidate with strong SW and HW skills is preferred. Verilog is sometimes needed to interface with certain IP etc..

  • We work with many formats including PCI/PCIe, IndustryPack, PMC/XMC, cPCI, PC/104p etc. , VME/VPX and custom ... experience with more than one format is a plus. Can you take on a challenging design and "own" it?

    Assembly

    SMT Solderer Position 2 Positions Open
    Must have experience soldering SMT fine pitch components to certification level, using various soldering tools and microscope. Candidates must be familiar with SMT and through hole soldering techniques and tools and be able to read and write in English.
